Honored to Be Featured in SHE: DC Exhibit!

Hi everyone,

I’m beyond thrilled to share that three of my pieces—"Reign," "Nyx," and "Bijoux"—are featured in Shop Made in DC's SHE: DC exhibit, an incredible exhibit amplifying women and nonbinary artists during Women’s History Month. This showcase is a powerful platform, and being part of it is an honor that I don’t take lightly.

As many artists know, there are often invisible barriers to getting our work seen. Sometimes, it feels like shouting into the void, hoping the right eyes will land on our creations. That’s why this opportunity means so much to me—it’s not just about visibility but about being recognized for the stories my art tells.

Art has always been an extension of my deepest joys, a language through which I express the beauty, strength, and heritage of Black women. "Reign," "Nyx," and "Bijoux" were created to celebrate this beauty in its truest form—one deeply connected to the motherland. Each piece reflects the richness of ancestry, the elegance of resilience, and the unbreakable ties between past and present. Through this work, I hope to honor the power and grace that define Black womanhood.

Being part of SHE: DC is a significant step in my artistic journey, and I’m excited to share this moment with you. If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to experience the exhibit firsthand and witness the incredible talent on display.

Thank you for being on this journey with me—your support fuels my passion and keeps my vision alive, as you are the backbone of my business, and I truly appreciate you.

With gratitude,
Kristen Woollery
