A Women’s History Month Feature in Forbes

During Women’s History Month in 2024, I had the honor of being featured in Forbes for the second time.

This time, my work was included in an article highlighting “15 Fab Caribbean Woman-Owned Brands for Women’s History Month.” The list was curated with the help of Carib Biz Network CEO Nicole Grimes and celebrated Caribbean women entrepreneurs and artisans who are excelling in their respective fields.

To be included among such talented Caribbean women was truly humbling.

As a Caribbean-American artist, my work is deeply rooted in heritage, identity, and the stories of the communities that shaped me. So being recognized alongside other Caribbean creators who are operating at the top of their craft felt especially meaningful.

Moments like this remind me how powerful visibility can be.

I create because I feel called to tell stories about womanhood, heritage, and the beauty of our cultural inheritance. To have that work amplified in spaces like Forbes is something I never take for granted.

It is a joy to create work that resonates with the very community I seek to represent.

And it is an even greater honor when that work travels beyond my studio and finds its way into conversations that celebrate Caribbean creativity, resilience, and excellence.
